Duane A. Lundervold, RhD, LPC, has joined Plaza Primary Care and
Geriatrics to provide behavioral health care. His clinical interests include anxiety and depression related to medical conditions,
stress-related disorders, chronic pain (migraine, low back, fibromyalgia), and movement disorders. He received his Doctor
of Rehabilitation from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, and completed a post-doctoral internship at KU Medical Center.
He is also a former Research Fellow of the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research. His specialization is evidence-based
behavioral medicine and cognitive behavior therapy with older adults. Dr. Lundervold has been a professor of psychology at
universities in Iowa, Texas and Missouri. He has written for more than 40 publications and one book related to aging, behavioral
medicine and cognitive behavior therapy.
